Have you had a hard time searching for a proper book on Yoga that you can read through over and over again just to gain a deeper understanding of what you are practising ? I had a really hard time searching especially for the type that also touches on the philosophy side .. to better appreciate why we do what we are told to do. Over and over, I see mostly glossy prints on asanas, that also cost you quite a bit
I was lucky to come upon a very small book, no frills but compact with the history, philosophy, the practice, chakras, asanas and all other stuff including meditation, benefits to ailments, yoga diet, breathing, etc. The best news is it was retailed at EUD 2.95 only, at that time. Unbelievable ! As small as a pocket book, do not underestimate what's inside.
Titled " Practising Yoga" published by Geddes & Grosset, no author being named, the book had been my guidance throughout in finding answers that my guru couldn't provide. Very easy to read and not so technical, I can read over and over again at different sections and still find it enlightening.
ISBN 1-85534-377-0, there you have it. Take a look and you will be awed at the tiny book with such awesome contents. ( Note: Not being able to find where to buy this now .. if you found out, please share. )
